IT'S FINALLY HERE!!!!!

Hello everyone! After a LONG and boring winter & spring, the time to moto has finally arrived.

The weekend of May 27th-30th, Pine Ridge Raceway will be holding our first of two Pro Am events. This is also Round 1 of the '11 Northern Route MX Series! This should be a great season, and what better way to kick it off than a Pro Am event!

Gates open at 12:00 noon on Friday. There is NO OPEN PRACTICE before the race. As always, please leave the pitbikes at home. We always welcome golf carts & UTV's to get yourself around the facility. The drivers must be 16 years of age or older. The weather looks to be good, and the action will be hot! We hope to see you at the track.

Hello Everyone, It has been a long winter, and I for one am ready for the season to begin! There are some events coming up for 2011 that I'd like to talk about. So let's get started with the banquet. The Northern Route MX Series banquet will be held this coming Saturday 4-16-11. The banquet will be held at the Lac Vieux Desert Resort and Casino in Watersmeet, MI. Rooms are $44.99 plus tax. The banquet will feature a buffet style dinner at 6pm with awards to start at approximately 7pm. If you would like to skip dinner and go to the awards only, there will be a separate fee. Come up for some fun and great prizes and help reward our riders for their accomplishments from the 2010 season! Next up is our open riding schedule. We anticipated being open April 16th & 17th. The weather unfortunately has not cooperated with us and has forced us to push our first practice weekend to April 30th and May 1st. We have also added a "special" rider weekend courtesy of Pine Ridge. The weekend of July 4th, there will be FREE camping, a bonfire, and burger/brats for all to enjoy! Please check this blog periodically for special events. If your looking to hone your Motocross skills, who better to learn from than a 2 time Arenacross Champion. Chad Johnson will be holding 2 schools at Pine Ridge this season. More details will follow soon! Make sure to take advantage of this great opportunity. Hello all,

Wow, this year has come and gone really quick! It seems like we were just priming up for our season opener yesterday. We have some news for you for this fall. Let's start out with our Practice Schedule.

Our fall practice dates will be the following:

September 26th -Team 2 KTM Dealer Appreciation Ride Day-(Saturday the track will be closed)

October 9th & 10th-"BRAWL FOR IT ALL" Pitbike Race on Saturday, and practice on Sunday!

October 16th and 17th

We may have a couple late fall days we will be open, so after the scheduled dates, please call. The weather can be very touch and go in October and November, so we will try to stay open as long as the weather cooperates.

September 26th, come join Tom Kalies and all the guys from Team 2 KTM for their Dealer Appreciation Ride Day! Tom and crew will be there, as well as some industry reps. Free burgers will be available courtesy of Team 2, so come hungry! The Pine Ridge membership joining fee of $40 will be waved, and the small fee of $10 is all you will have to pay on Sunday ONLY! The Harescramble loop will be available to ride also. So, come out for a great day of riding, food, and friends! This is NOT a DEMO ride! If the interest and rider turnout is good, we will try to get KTM to do a DEMO day some time in 2011!

October 9th, come join Tom Nielsen and myself for the 6th Annual....."BRAWL FOR IT ALL" Pitbike Extravaganza! The race has been previously been held at Tom and Candi's house. Year after year it has grown bigger and better. Now a full blown pitbike event, it needed a larger venue. With an all new Micro Track designed, we decided to hold the "Brawl" at Pine Ridge. The fee is $25. This gets you an entry into the Brawl pitbike race, camping, and practice on Sunday with the big bike. Adult beverages, a bonfire, great food, a DJ, and over $3,000 in prizes and giveaways always make this an awesome way to end the year. This will also be a good time to check out the ALL NEW MICRO TRACK!! It is finally here! Come see what our PeeWee riders will be riding on next season. The track has a great flow to it. The track will be challenging for all levels of riders. This will also be where the "Brawl" races will be held.

Hello everyone! I hope this summer has been a safe and successful one for everybody. As the tail end of the 2010 MX season fast approaches, this means the final races of the '10 season are almost upon us at Pine Ridge Raceway!

Practice will be ONE DAY only AUGUST 21st!! The Sunday practice will be cancelled due to track preparation for the race the following weekend. The weekend of October 2nd-3rd will also be cancelled for Open Practice and re-scheduled due to a family function. The updates will be posted on the home page under "prac. sched." at the bottom of the tabs. Please be sure to check this periodically.

Our August 28th race will once again feature our 2nd annual "Chili Cook off" with all proceeds going to help an injured rider in need. Make sure to bring a kettle of your famous chili recipe and take part in what is always a fun, delicious, and most importantly...good cause! Stick around for Sunday the 29th and test your skills on the Harescramble Loop. Sunday will feature all the standard bike classes for District 16 Harescramble events, and yes, we will have quads as well on Sunday. Immediately following our event in August, come back up for the Pine Ridge/Northern Route MX season finale! The racing will be hot! Join us for our PRO-AM event Labor Day weekend to watch all the top riders in the Midwest duke it out for some cold hard cash! This is also the final and Championship round of the 2010 Tucker Rocky Northern Route MX Series!

Pine Ridge Raceway will be OPEN this coming weekend, July 3rd & 4th! This is a make-up rain date from our cancellation a couple weeks ago. We will also be providing FREE CAMPING this weekend to all 2010 CLUB CARD holders! The track is looking awesome, and will be in great shape Saturday for all eager riders. We have been hit with rain all week and are supposed to receive more. the track conditions are already poor, and the future rain for casted for this evening into Friday won't allow the track to dry out. We are addressing a rumor that there will be an open practice this Friday or Saturday. There is NO PRACTICE AT ALL!!!!!!!!!!!!! Everyone had their chance to practice last weekend, so your next chance to practice will be at 6:45 a.m. RACE DAY! The gates do open at 4 p.m. Friday for camping. Don't bother to bring a pit bike also, they are not permitted on race weekends. Thanks for your time.

Hello everyone! Well, Memorial Weekend is on the way, and that means the 2010 Pine Ridge season opener is almost here!! We are super excited for this season.

First of all, this weekend is the first of our 2 Pro Am events! The Pro's will be battling it out for cold hard cash on Sunday making this weekend a "must see" race! Last season we had full gates in every money class making for some good racing, and this year we expect nothing less! This Pro Am is one of only a few Double Points Pro Am events across the country. This will add extra incentive to making the trek to Pine Ridge even more worth it! Race one Pro Am and get points for 2!

Secondly, this will be Round 1 of the all new Northern Route MX Series presented by Tucker Rocky. If you haven't had the chance to look, this series features many rider/fan favorites for the tracks and promoters involved!

We have many great prizes to give away to our riders courtesy of Tucker Rocky, EVS, Scott USA, and Rock River Yamaha to just name a few.

The gates open at 4 p.m. Friday. Camping is available all weekend. Come take advantage of one of the vacation hot spots in Wisconsin. There is swimming areas, go-carting, ice cream shops, boating, and fishing all just 10-15 minutes away. So come make a weekend of it. We hope to see you there!

Hello. We will be having our last UN-SCHEDULED practice this weekend. We will be going to our 2010 practice schedule after this weekend. The weather was finally cooperative and gave us some much needed rain this evening. After the rainfall from this evening and the sprinklers being on all day, the track is in real nice shape. Take advantage of this practice because there is only one more opportunity to ride in 2 weeks and then we have our season opener!! The Pro Am is shaping up to be a great race!

Pine Ridge will be hosting a Chili cookoff at this saturday's race - bring a batch of your secret recipe and win a prize! There will be prizes for the top 3 entries. After the judging, they'll all be combined "chili dump" style and sold for $2/bowl with all the money going to an injured rider that could use some help.

More spectating opportunities, the tunnel jumps are now open, and the sprinkler system is in! We are equally excited for the next year, as alot of new additions for '10 are in store. Hello everyone. There will be open practice again this weekend. This will be your last chance to turn some laps before the September 6th race!! So make sure to get up to the track and turn some laps!
As you may or may not know, there has been quite a few projects that just wrapped up. The watering system is IN....and if you haven't seen it in action, works really well. We have to thank Forest County Potawatomi and VanDeYacht Lawn Sprinklers for making this all happen, so THANKYOU!!! We also have the tunnel jumps fully open. This has been in the works for a while, but now they are in full operation. There is also more spectating opportunities with new aluminum bleachers.

Hello everyone! There will be another open practice this weekend. Last weekend we had an awsome turnout! I was asked about the watering system last weekend and if you were at the track, you no doubt saw the all the blue piping sticking out of the ground all over the place. That was all the watering lines and we were in the process of getting the heads installed as well! The system will be 100% shortly. A big THANKYOU goes out to Forest County Potawatomi as well as VanDeYacht Lawn Sprinklers for making this all possible!!! We will be looking forward to getting this up and running as soon as this weekend, barring any major weather or setbacks!

The other thing I wanted to touch base on is the Quad/Bike practices. I will be splitting up the quads from now on, regardless if there are two or twenty!! We had a quad rider last week that made some questionable contact with a couple of our Junior bike riders. This is a safety issue, and to hit it on the head, we will be separating bike and quads from now on! The practices will be in 1/2 hour increments. The bikes will kick it off at 10am sharp, then quads at 10:30....and so on. This will be the easiest way to make sure everyone gets equal track time.

Last of all. I was certain we were clear on the fact that unless you are 16 years of age or older, you are NOT ALLOWED TO RACE OR PRACTICE ON A QUAD at our facility! This has been an issue the last couple practices and we want to make sure that if you were not sure if we allow this, now you know. We do know that a couple facilities do offer this, but I recommend checking with your track of choice to make sure. See you at the track!

Hello everyone! This Friday the work will begin on the automatic sprinkler system. We will be laying it out it on Friday July 3rd, and the work will begin the following Monday. The schedule was pushed back due to our contractor being busy, but it will be a welcome addition soon! We are taking off the 4th of July for track activities, but we'll be back at it July 11th and 12th with another open practice date.
For all you that have been making it up for our practice dates....THANK YOU!! We are continuously striving to make your experience at Pine Ridge a great one! We appreciate all the riders who have taken advantage of this new practice schedule.
We are also setting up new aluminum bleachers and opening up the tunnel jumps before the next race in August! This should really increase spectating opportunities. Stay tuned for more track info and updates!

Hello everyone! After having a great start to our new groomed and watered open practice schedule, we will again be open for another GROOMED AND WATERED practice on Saturday and depending on rider turnout/interest,again on Sunday. We would like to thank everyone that came up last weekend. The practices will be sessioned. Big bikes(125cc and up) for 45min intervals. Quads and smaller bikes(85cc-down) will have their own track time at 20-30min intervals depending on turnout. Also, there is camping available for $10 each night. The fee for our '09 practice is $40 for the first time(this includes the Club Card) and $10 every time after. Remember that all minors MUST have a Signed and Notarized letter from their legal guardian before being able to practice. You can print off the minor release form on the District 16's website, and soon we will get a link on here! One last thing, no quad riders under the age of 16 are allowed to practice or race per AMA rules and regulations within our facility! We hope to see you at the track.
